In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

The main purpose of this site is to cater for the Muslim female (of all ages) in sensitive issues within Islamic boundaries and according to the Shari'ah. Issues will be dealt with in light of the Quran and Sunnah, and Islamic verdicts will only be from the Scholars of Quran and Sunnah.
We aim to be a main source for Muslims to turn to for issues not commonly discussed within some communities, so they may learn from the Islamic stance rather than turn to non-Islamic sources which may be good for information but the Islamic position will not be discussed. We are ordinary people working to educate people about issues seldom discussed in some communities. If you are aware of any errors, please Contact Us and let us know.

Supplication
Indeed all praise belongs to Allah, we praise Him, seek His aid and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our souls and evils of our actions. Whomsoever Allah guides there is none to misguide and whomsoever Allah misguides there is none to guide. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without any partners and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Allah sent him to remove mankind from the abyss of misguidance and shirk to the light of Islam and guidance.
Welcome!
PinkIslam was created to help Muslim women gain self awareness and to know and appreciate their identity. We want Muslim women to know their identity, not just as any women, but as a Muslimah!
As Muslims come from all different backgrounds, ethnicities and lifestyles, not everyone is able to learn about important aspects of their life, which results in many avoiding certain topics and issues. We here at PinkIslam want muslim women as well as non-muslim women to know the facts about matters which effect them or which they may need to know. Indeed actions are based on knowledge not upon ignorance. Certain issues, many of us may feel rather shy to talk about, this is why PinkIslam is here!!
Aa’ishah (radiyallaahu anhaa) said:

How good are the women of the Ansar (helpers) that their shyness does not prevent them from learning religion.

Using the above narration, we want to (by the permission of Allah) be a turning point  for women and girls. A place where Muslim females can benefit from with a varietly of material, from growing up to being a parent, from taboos to acts of worship. Although we are not a Question & Answer website, we do try to provide visitors with authentic material related to specific issues which are not covered on the site yet.
As well as being a turning point for women, PinkIslam also understands that there are many misconceptions about Muslim women in the world today among non-Muslims as well as Muslims. We hope that instead of falling into the typical stereotypes and cultural innovation, the information here will pique your interest and help you to understand the true stance Islam takes on the status and role of women. By the permission of Allah, we aim to be an easily accessible and accurate source to educate the people.
